What you'll need
If you can, have this information to hand but don’t worry if you don’t. The tool will tell you what to find. You'll need:

A rough idea of the estate value
Whether there’s a valid Will
Whether there’s a surviving spouse/partner
Whether the person who died owned property, had assets outside the UK, or any trust involvement (if you know)
