Our customers say we’re an excellent way to do Confirmation in Scotland

"The lawyer wanted a percentage of the total estate – doing the maths in the region of £8,000. I found advice on the Martin Lewis website, which pointed me to My Probate Partner. I handed the form into the Court on the Monday and got the call on the Wednesday to say it was done."

“I booked a lawyer's consultation – £622 for one hour – and I really didn't get many of my questions answered. After speaking to Mike, almost within the first couple of seconds I thought, right, he knows what he's talking about. We handed the Confirmation in on a Tuesday afternoon and got a phone call on the Wednesday morning to say it had been approved. I was just blown away.”

“It's almost impossible to correctly fill out the forms with the information they have on them. I sent the form in six times unsuccessfully – every time it comes back, you have no idea what you've done wrong. My Probate Partner fixed it and when I submitted it, it went through.”

Our role and limits

We don't file the application for you

Once your pack is complete, you must deliver it to the Sheriff Court, along with your ID, and pay any Court fees yourself.

We don't deal with complex estates

If your case involves disputes, contested Wills, multiple trusts, or other complex legal issues, we’ll recommend a solicitor.

We don't contact banks and asset holders directly

You remain responsible for gathering valuations and closing accounts. We provide guidance and signpost you to trusted services.

We don’t help with Probate in England or Wales

If you are dealing with an estate in England or Wales, we can refer you to probate specialists who can help.

If your situation turns out to be too complex for us, we’ll let you know early, refund your fee and help you find a trusted solicitor.
